We Are Not Equals
Womanhood (mature femininity) entails accepting the edicts and constructive criticism of responsible male custodianship. Loving me is not letting me run rampant through the candy store of life until I make myself sick with gluttony. It is not standing idly by while I ruin myself with self-righteous determination. Mature womanhood accepts gratefully the guidance and discipline which mature manhood offers lovingly. My mother once told me when I was a little girl, "what I don't see, God sees." It was a somewhat eerie notion and one I dismissed over time. It became an abstract truth. I accepted that God exists, the "Father watches over" and so on but in my everyday life I was largely on my own. My father came to visit on weekends and, while largely responsible for introducing me to spiritual study, he was an abstract watcher.
Our belief in and reliance upon God is directly tied to our reliance upon our fathers and husbands. Male headship makes God's word palpable. Those men who take on this responsibility through self-mastery and high morality are jewels of spiritual mooring. Knowing that God is actually watching should make us each sit up straight, behave properly and honor Him with every thought word and deed. But somewhere along the way we decide there are no consequences to our actions. We fail to recognize His presence because He often watches silently. God's love manifests as a benign allowance... the freedom of choice. Grow, make decisions, reach for the ideal and when you realize you need Him to actively participate in your life He gladly assumes responsibility. He would do so from the start if we simply ask Him to. But we tend to pull away from His scrutiny and control. Why? What makes each of us so untrusting? We are responsible for maintaining our own faith regardless of what the world throws at us; regardless of any immature males we confront. Our actual confrontation of immature males should be limited and our time spent largely on deepening our devotional capacities in discipleship - knowing He is watching, mooring ourselves to His word, waiting for the appearance of the Beloved.

We are not equals, males and females. Our shared purpose is realized in the union of our complimentary opposite natures. Lingam does not equate with yoni. Penis and vagina do not equate to the same function. They unify in fulfillment of purpose but that unity fundamentally presupposes difference. Reliance on loving male headship grants the promise of heaven on earth. Male self-mastery, adorned by female devotion, is a thing of ineffable beauty wielding visionary power. Such God-reverent, self-realized masculinity is worthy of our adoration not our constant jockeying for equal standing.
But, doesn't all this put females in a precariously vulnerable position which will always result in abuse of power? Not when we choose correctly the male we gift with our submission. This is a mystic union. The devotional path yields intuitive insight which, when rightly followed, protects us from the wrong choice. Our feminine submissiveness is a literal refuge.
Furthermore, the apparent weakness of femininity naturally emphasizes and draws out male strength. Male strength which is self-mastered and motivated by love is a healing force. The man we choose must BE love. He must be on the path of self-mastery which yields palpable peace. Faith in divine order removes our fear and learned resentment. Firm leadership which disciplines does not equate with abuse. It is the responsibility of both males and females to know the difference. It is also the responsibility of both to fill the world with trust again. May true agape flourish in our homes and bring the world to flowering.

Living Exemplars
There is a Creator and a created - one vested with power and one empty to receive it. The very existence of a receptive creation is only possible by the impulse of the Creator. If the two were not separate there would be nothing to speak of - no masterful acts of creation and no witness to their performance. One becomes two polar opposite halves in order to experience creation. The two are not equal, they cannot be, as life - movement and experience - is contingent on their difference. Exalted mystic union preserves the natural and harmonious interplay of Truth's dual pronged manifestation - male and female.
Irene Cardona - "Golden Ankh"
Opposites attract because the two are in reality one unified being performing and benefiting from Divine function. At its most beautiful, creation is gratefully submissive to and utterly dependent on the Creator's will. It is nourished, guided, and benefited because of its humble commitment to serve. Because of the Creator's love, which provides unhampered faith and trust, the two can move in poetic accord fulfilling purpose and causal desire. Mystic union is the crux ansata - the key which unlocks the Kingdom of God's love right here on earth.
Femininity as the Seat of Ideal Masculinity
As women, we can choose to focus on the light or on the dark; on the ideal manifestation of masculinity or on the failings and inadequacies of masculinity unfulfilled. When we obsess over negative expressions of manhood we ourselves become negative or inverted expressions of womanhood. Exalted mystic union is the casualty of our aborted self-realization.
Pointing at a void leads ultimately to falling in. We will be consumed by that very thing which we despise. Conversely, pointing wholeheartedly toward love, toward the ideal, we become love in ideal feminine expression. Femininity is the first thing sacrificed in the protest of adolescent masculinity. Free femininity however is free precisely because it does not carry the weight of blame, resentment or self-sufficiency. It does not have to. It is dwelling in a state of perfect protection and provision. It is full liberation in the care of divinely moral custodianship.

It is not a thing of shame to point to the pinnacle of male expression. It is a sacred responsibility. It is our charge to focus unerringly on light, maintaining optimism and hope despite encroaching darkness and despair. Not growing cold or hardened. Not growing weary or cynical. Living for love and truth above doubt and distraction.
Not only do we hold tight to our belief - our knowing - that He exists and will come, but we ourselves are the proof. The ideal we hold to heart has a real manifestation. And just as responsible, leadership bearing, self-realized masculinity exists we too exist - unashamed, devoted, peace loving femininity is real... and waiting to be found.

Equality Revisited
There is no "other." No lover, no spouse... there is only the Self. Submitting to any external force has its dangers. "Pointing" to righteousness, so to speak, is done through BEING that righteousness. Embody the Truth, embody love, embody peace and that will spread across the world. Any being who is truly living a life of exalted mystic union, does not seek to be put on pedestals. Others may attempt that praise, but true mystic teachers are honor bound to encourage your empowerment rather than dependency and submission.
The thought process revolving around this issue is ancient and sordid. For me, the only solution was -not- thinking. Not comparing my experiences to the experiences of others in this time or in the vast history of the world. Being guided to "find the All" led me to a deeper understanding that my beliefs color my perceptions. To see clearly, I ceased any salacious devotion to learned beliefs. This is what true initiation is about... walking the path of self-inquiry and tearing out any falsehood at the root.
