What is Feminine Ecstasy?

Ecstasy refers to complete and utter bliss. This is not the bliss of eros. Exaltation refers to "divine" bliss. It is a standing "outside" of oneself, in a rapturous experience of "God." Even the Bible concludes with rapture. Traditional African and other shamanic spiritual systems court rapture through ritual, dance, and direct communion. Bliss is our natural inclination.
According to Plotinus, ecstasy is the culmination of human possibility. He contrasted emanation (πρόοδος, prohodos) from the One—on the one hand—with ecstasy or reversion (ἐπιστροφή, epistrophe) back to the One—on the other (Wikipedia).

The trouble with our most largely socially accepted role for women, is that it bars her from the experience of this holy Presence--Her highest self. To share a personal example, some years ago while I was in a semi-abusive and less than thrilling relationship, that Divine Presence came and told me directly "The way is through love." In dreams I was told, further, "She wants you to be with a man who values your goals and the things that are important to you." In everyday waking life I was numb. I had allowed myself to become stuck in this body, in this circumstance. In order to maintain a relationship, I became as if dead to myself. When I say "myself" I'm referring to a larger Self. My purpose for being here; and that Creator which ordained it. If it had not been for those and various other interjections from the Divine, I may very well have died in that place.
Divinity all but slapped me into wakefulness. "You are in an unfulfilled state, as if emotionless..." It's a shame that I actually had to be told this. But its a grace to have been blessed with direct guidance. Imagine if I had had the tools and methods necessary to induce ecstatic communion AT WILL.
The Divine has many names, and is nameless. She/he/it comes in various guises or archetypes to relay much needed guidance. This has been my experience. When I shut myself off, deferring to a man for my provision, well being and ecstasy-- he came up short! ;) Not just once, with one man, but with EVERY man I've ever joined with. Ecstasy is only hinted at through sex. To the contrary, "love-making" is a ritual of ecstasy. It requires devotion and discipline not to fall into that same dependency on the mate; but the power behind loving can indeed evoke ecstatic experience.

What I want to emphasize now, is that the core of ecstasy resides with the woman herself. She is a natural divine channel, who brings forth a sacred soul from heaven to earth. Denying that she is a channel at this point, is moot. Ecstasy is our birthright and it isn't to be found in self-negation for the sake of spouse or family. In fact, spouse, family and community will flourish based on the level of ecstasy attained by its women.
So, ecstatic femininity HAS been realized and can be realized by ANY woman who listens to the interjections of the Divine Presence. Do what is right, do what feels right. Light candles, immerse yourself in water, pray and ask questions, keep a diary of your dreams, and manifest Divinity as a sacred channel as you see fit.
Find your bliss and make it real.

Ecstatic Femininity Realized (originally written in 2015)

My womanhood is my greatest asset and blessing. Through it I attract my Beloved. Never obliged to suffer an anonymously abstract understanding of God, I am blessed to feel the warm touch of God’s very hand. Blessed to feel the tangible embrace of God’s concern. Why should I ever forsake the gift of my femininity?
Here, now, on this very earth, in this skin, in this very life I can feel blissfully yoked to God. The great pursuit of yoga, mindfulness, deific possession and the like are all mine to attain. I am His to possess. I draw this union, this yoga, to me innately - naturally. I am molded as a part of a whole. All that’s required is devotion to this knowing… and I am found. The receiver receives. My femininity is a jewel of timeless beauty and purpose. It is my interminable link to God. Guru (Ra) is a living stream of Divine knowledge and love. A blessing to all who come to stand in His sight. But I, as a woman, can think of no greater spiritual fortune than to have Guru as lover. To learn His truth with every facet of my being- mind, soul and body… My body becomes a storehouse of Divine sensation, reaping the deliberate touch of Guru in loving abandon without barrier, fear or hesitation. So open… willing - every pore filled with the light of His grace. My God. To be His. To reap and embody growth at the hand of His cultivation. To flower. To offer Him the gift of that sweet scent. This is nirvana, moksha… the ecstasy of spiritual attainment here and now in this flesh. Mystic Union in love of Guru is heaven on earth and in devotion I kneel at His everlasting fountain. Femininity, exalted, is passive yet responsive. Its receptivity is akin to listening, bestowing it with the grace to hear before speaking. Humility therefore is the heart of exalted femininity. This is not the “receiving” of egoic attainment or self-aggrandizement. Exalted femininity receives what it is given - without clutching hard to control or exuding a critical refusal to accept. Its nature is rooted in trust. Innocent as a dove and delicate it expects goodness and thrives in the garden of high morality and love. When that garden isn't nourished and tended diligently, femininity hardens in response. Even though passive and trusting, femininity is wired to manifest - to birth - to act on what it receives. Even its defense mechanism of masculine strength and control is a responsive gesture. Her every gesture in fact provides feedback, allowing us to gauge the level of love and morality cultivated in any given society or household. The degree of her peacefulness, beauty and grace is directly proportionate to the degree of exalted male mastery in love. Their natures are codependent and mutually indicative of the degree to which Divine Truth (God’s word) is prevalent. It is a delicate balance moored to Divine order.
In the midst of confusion or challenging life situations we are fortunate to hear clear directives for progress and the maintenance of our well being. In our work, in the military, in moments of spiritual crisis or other instances where our integrity and choices bear great impact, perceiving the right word/truth is what saves us. But what is the word? What is the order which governs us or any given situation?

From the sea of dreams
From time immemorial is has been understood that thought, vibration and sound govern creation. Centering oneself in meditation and prayer are ways to quiet conflicting outside noise to tune into the core thought or vibration of the heart. Through gnosis and deep inner study the “word” is revealed - known as mantra, hekau, the philosopher’s stone etc. In the process we turn to holy books written by and chronicling the lives of our great mystics, prophets and sages who have themselves become centered in the word of Truth. The word cuts through all emotionality and all external forces of chaos. In exalted mystic union thought and word are the purview of the male who is responsible for leading the pair. He is equipped by nature to transcend emotionality and direct with clarity. Feminine peace rests on his headship… on his ability to direct based on love and high morality.
Divine order is true, it’s real… it only needs to be perceived and then acted upon. This is the function of the male and female in mystic union - perception and action. RADA is a “word” which illustrates this order as
Sun + Earth; the light of wisdom causing creation to fructify. Femininity is not negated by mooring itself to male leadership; to the contrary it flourishes by being able to act according to its true nature. Stillness is the center of movement. Action unhinged to wise perception is prone to madness and self destruction. Exalted femininity soars as the dove, path illumined by her Beloved. Peace is fearless acceptance inspired by his love.

Half of a Whole
Womanhood is not fully known in isolation from manhood... apart from union. Womanhood denotes a space to be filled; it is receptive and therefore unfilled and unwed it is not known at its zenith. We are one with our Beloved. On the path of exalted mystic union, womanhood devoid of self-mastered manhood is adolescent at best - recalcitrant and destructive at worst. Here, her development is stunted at the level of "I alone..." The spiritual seeker and devotee of mystic union eagerly sheds her egoic self perceptions out of a pure desire to serve the Beloved. Only then has she opened herself to true ecstasy.
A Liberated FeminineMature femininity revels in its nature, unafraid to yield itself. Trusting, loving, and open, liberated femininity expects and encourages a higher level of masculinity. She can be herself fully, even unto nudity, without fear of assault or shame. This is possible because she is firmly anchored to what is true and what is empowering to her as a woman of God. Mature masculinity encourages and nourishes this feminine freedom, appreciative of her beauty and desirous of her bliss. |

An Enchanting Grace
When life gets cold you had better have some magic in you. Magic isn't calling on spirits, it's evoking a spirit of courage out of yourself to make the world reflect your most enchanted ideals. Femininity, ideally, maintains itself as a wellspring of beauty and whimsy which inspires love and kindness in anyone it touches. This is why it is a thing to be protected. The feminine represents our longing for love and light and the beautiful fragility of such an innocence.

My understanding and experiences have changed since the time of my first posting of "Ecstating Femininity Realized," The same is true regarding much of this site as a whole. It remains published in entirety to show that progression of thought through persistent "ectstatic" revelation and simple intuition.
Ecstatic femininity is in fact latent, needing no external catalyst. In seeking, she enjoys various pursuits but can never be satisfied by such experiences or characters. Only the Divine can satiate the longing of the ecstatic feminine heart.
